Understanding the Angkor Temple Pass (Cost & Rules)

To enter the Angkor Archaeological Park, every foreign visitor must possess an official Angkor Pass. This pass grants you access to almost all temples in the region, including Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon.
Unlike regular museums, the Angkor complex spans over 400 square kilometers, and the ticketing system can seem confusing at first glance. Whether you are planning a quick one-day sprint or a leisurely week-long exploration, buying the right pass is the very first step of your journey.
Since the transition to digital passes and recent price updates, many of the old blogs and forums have outdated information. Below is the fully updated guide for 2026 to ensure you don't overpay or get caught in morning ticket queues.
2026 Ticket Prices
- 1-Day Pass: $37 USD
- 3-Day Pass: $62 USD (Valid for any 3 days within a 10-day period)
- 7-Day Pass: $72 USD (Valid for any 7 days within a 1-month period)
Note: Children under 12 enter for free but must show their passport to prove their age.
Where to Buy
You can purchase tickets physically at the official Angkor Ticket Center (located on Apsara Road, away from the temples) or online via the official Angkor Enterprise website. We highly recommend buying them online the night before your tour to skip the massive queues in the morning!
Important Rules
Your ticket will have your photo printed on it (or digitally attached). Do not lose it! Guards check tickets at the entrance to nearly every single temple. If you lose your pass, you must buy a new one. Do not buy tickets from third-party vendors or "scalpers", as they are fake and you will be fined.
